2. Pearl Pigment for artificial leather coating 

Pearl pigment is widely used in the coating of natural and synthetic leather. It has obvious pearl luster effect, and it is non-toxic, tasteless, high temperature resist, non-acid, non- alkali, has stable chemical properties. Generally speaking, we can add pearl pigment into ink to get pearlescent ink. We also can add pearl pigment into transparent plastic resin used in the pressing and scratching of pearlescent leather. 

3. Tips for using pearlescent pigment 

Since pearlescent pigments (pearl pigment) rely on the reflection of light to produce pearlescent luster, the resins, pigments and other fillers used with them are required to have high transparency. Opaque or high hiding power pigments and additives, such as titanium dioxide, will weaken the pearlescent effect, so they must be avoided with pearlescent pigments. But in specific circumstances, it can be added in an appropriate amount to increase the hiding power of the pearlescent film. Pearlescent pigments are used in the form of imprint inks; the dosage is approximately 15% of the total amount of printing ink. To be mixed in resin and get pearlescent changes, the consumption is about 2%-5%. If the transparency is low, the amount of pearlescent pigment can be increased or adopt big particle sized pearl luster pigment.
