Pearlescent pigments are core raw materials for creating luster, shimmer, iridescence and three-dimensional makeup effects in cosmetics. They are based on mica, synthetic mica or glass coated with metal oxides such as TiO₂ and Fe₂O₃, and produce colors through light interference, reflection and transmission.
